Long-running Irish rock group that formed in 1986 and had a massive hit in Ireland with the 'This Is'. They were on the verge of breaking into the UK scene when the band split in two, reportedly over Christy's increasing drug use.
Over the next five years, Christy rehabilitated himself and began playing as a two-piece with guitarist Conor Goff, while the remaining members of Aslan became the Precious Stones. They reformed in 1993 and have released a series of albums that have been well received in Ireland, but ignored elsewhere.
